Latimer County General Hospital has been serving the residents of Wilburton and Latimer County for more than 40 years.  The hospital is a 33-bed general medical/surgical facility offering a wide variety of medical services.  The hospital is licensed by the Oklahoma State Department of Health and is Medicare/Medicaid Accredited.  The hospital has three family practice physicians with medical staff privileges and one family practice physician with courtesy privileges. The hospital offers the following services:

        - Physical and speech therapy on an in-patient and out-patient basis.
        - Respiratory therapy on an in-patient and out-patient basis.
        - X-ray services on an in-patient and out-patient basis.
        - Laboratory services on an in-patient and out-patient basis.
        - Emergency room care.
        - Acute care unit.
        - Home health care.

The hospital provides level-four trauma and emergency general medicine services on a 24-hour basis.  The hospital has a helipad, which means that life-flight services are available when needed.  The emergency room is staffed by a physician's assistant from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday.  During the evening and weekend hours, the emergency room is staffed by an "on-call" physician.
